Osmond family patriarch passes away

SALT LAKE CITY (AP) - George Osmond, father of the famous Osmond brothers has died. Osmond passed away Tuesday morning in Utah. He was 90-years-old.
A cause of death was not immediately available. The death was first reported by Entertainment Tonight’s Web site and was confirmed by The Associated Press through a spokeswoman for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, of which Osmond was a member.
Osmond’s famous daughter, Marie, is currently competing on ABC’s Dancing With The Stars.
